I've got troubles oh, but not today..

I'm going to try and get an entry in while Miss Sophie is still napping. I had a nice weekend and it was nice having Dan home for the whole weekend. His birthday was on Saturday and we just spent it at home being lazy. We ordered Subway and him, Sophie and I watched How to Train Your Dragon. I love this movie so much. Then on Sunday we went to his mother's for dinner. It was really good and Sophie was a good girl, as always. hehe.
Shelli and the gang came back from the states last night. I gave Shelli a couple bucks to pick me up some stuff. I wanted an iPod dock for myself and they were on sale for $10. Now I can listen to music/podcasts while Dan is on the computer and I don't have to have headphones in woohoo! I also got her to pick up some jammies for Sophie. I think we've found her Christmas Eve jammies. They're pink with snowmen and penguins. Super cute! She also got a few more sets of jammies for $4! Like these!
Other than that there hasn't been much going on. OH! Jenn and I did go to the mall on friday, that was fun and exciting. We totally need to do that more often! I love her. :) I was able to check off a few more people from my Christmas list. We also ate at Mother Nature's and had fancy Christmas drinks. I had a Gingerbread Mocha Latte with little gingerbreadman sprinkles. Love it. :D Oh and I did purchase Sophie a new hat and mittens, which she needed. Showing them off here..I can't wait to get the Christmas tree and decorate! I'm so excited this year. I think part of it has to do with the Maternity leave and not having to bother about work and of course the other part is Sophie.

Sophie also has her first birthday party coming up that isn't family. I can't wait to buy Lily a pretty present! Dan and mine's 2 year anniversary is coming up soon too. It's so weird, it feels sooo much longer than 2 years, but in a good way. I love him to death and I find he's the one person I can be the most comfortable and most myself around.

The whole wedding details are kind of in a jumble right now. I really realized how much I suck at planning a wedding. I thought I wanted a fall wedding, but I want to be able to save more money. I don't want to settle for just the bare minimum. I have lots of wedding ideas and stuff like that saved on my computer. I want to be able to have the wedding I want, but I know I also don't want a huge, expensive wedding. Just we've been focusing on paying the credit cards and Sophie and I think those are more important. Well, not so much the credit cards, but I don't want to be put in debt because of a wedding and I also don't want to rely on other people to pay for my wedding. I know people want to help and I totally appreciate that!
I just only want to do it once and I want to do it right! Well, hopefully once! :) I would get married tomorrow if I had the money! I know it's not all about money, but it sure helps. Rushing to get married isn't important to me. What is important to me is Dan, Sophie and I being happy together, married or not. That's just a label nowadays. I know how much Dan loves us and how much I love him!

I love watching Sophie when she sleeps. So peaceful! Now that I have my hands free, I must do some more internet surfing before she wakes up again!
Oh the tough job of being a mother. Gotta love that like extra 20 pounds of dead weight! xD I can't complain too much, she's a good baby.. the cat on the other hand...

The Show Must Go On.

Today was spent mostly with just Sophie and I. It was nice and quiet. Shelli and that crew left for Black Friday Shopping. I am pretty jealous, but I get to go shopping tomorrow with Jenn, so it's all good! We're going to buy fancy Christmas drinks and check out some stores. It should be fun! :D Dad gave me money for one of Sophie's Christmas presents. There's a dress I want to get her for Christmas Day at the Children's place and I hope it's still there!
Sophie's been a little fussy at nights and today she was not taking a bottle at all. The fact that she can cover a shirt in drool in under 30 seconds makes me think she might be starting to teethe.. hopefully she won't have too much of a rough time with it.
I was reading about a post on Mommyhood (Facebook App) and someone was asking about Hip Displasia and I know all too well on that subject. It got me thinking how grateful I am that they caught it at birth with my Sophiebear. She has an appointment soon to see if she's better. She's no longer in the harness because she has been improving with it and I just hope we're done with the whole Pavik Harness thing. Which is less annoying then some of the harness I've looked at online. I'm glad we got the one we did. It didn't bother her too much, but I know she is much more happy without it!

Soon we'll be taking her 4 month old photo, but here's one of her at 3 months! I take one of her on her every month birthday.. hehe.
ANNNNDD.. Today is exactly 1 month away from CHRISTMAS!! So excited!!

So, didn't want to break my post streak just yet. Therefore I'm posting in the dark and on my iPod Touch. Haha! Sophie is asleep in her bassinet and Dan is watching the Big Bang Theory. I've already watched those episodes. I'm waiting for 16 and Pregnant! I love my crap shows. lol.

This is going to be short and pictureless. :( I've had a craptastic day, for really no reason. I spent most of it being lazy. :P

Two Days in a Row!

Look at me go! Today was another lazy day with the baby. (We have lots of them) I've been in a crafty mood lately but I haven't found anything to get rid of my urge to make a million craft things. I've been searching the internet for ideas. I have a few and last night I attempted my first bib, which wasn't too bad. I didn't finish it though, I need to get cute fabrics. I just used whatever I found in the house. If I make one I like, I'll post it.

Well at the craft fair on Sunday, I bought some cute things for Sophiebear! I bought a tutu for her to get Christmas pictures done in, but of course I couldn't NOT do my own photoshoot! So here's one of the photos..

I may edit one of the shots I took for Christmas pictures for people. I haven't decided yet. She also got 3 Christmas bulbs I am in love with! One is from Dan and I, one from Auntie Shelli and one from Liser. I can't wait to put them on the Christmas Tree!



Right now I'm uploading a bunch of pictures from Dad's camera to see what he has on there. In a couple of days it will be a bunch of birthdays! I've had Dan's gift since Friday and it's so hard to keep it. I'm horrible that way, I want to give them as soon as I buy them. I'm just giving my niece money to go shopping for Black Friday. I'm so jealous, I want to go! I can't wait to see what they bring back.
Well I can tell you one thing about being a mother... I became very fast at one handed typing with a 14 pound baby curled up on me. :)

So, here goes the very first post to my new blog of boringness. I always hate first posts to anything, so I'll probably post again in like an hour to try and hide this one. I never know what to say... So here goes nothing! haha.
I decided to make a blog because I have nothing to do with my time and I enjoy reading about other people's lives, so I might as well join them.
I'm a new mother of a beautiful baby girl of 3 months, soon to be 4! And yes, they do grow fast, everyone was right. I'm also blessed with a baby who sleeps like her father. I've been awake for 3 hours, it's now 12pm. I'm still waiting patiently for her to wake up for breakfast. I'm not complaining by any means, but now it's resulted in me doing this. haha! I'm sure once my Maternity Leave is up in July I will be nice and busy.
So. About today. So far my day has consisted of saying goodbye to Dan, eating leftover Chinese food for breakfast, while watching The Big Bang Theory and "shopping" online for Christmas presents... NO, not for myself... I know what you're thinking.. Shopping is in quotes because I didn't actually buy anything.. yet.
OH. I did almost have a heart attack today. I awoke to a DEAD monitor. RIP. However, I did get to borrow my brother's, so all is well now.
